Saltline Stories / reader information

Privacy & browser storage

Saltline Stories is designed to be read without an account. This page explains the small amount of browser storage used by the journal and what happens when you choose to contact us.

A bookmark, not a profile

When you press Save story, the journal keeps that episode’s filename in localStorage under this domain. Nothing is sent to an editorial server by that control. Use Clear saved stories in the footer, or your browser’s site-data settings, to remove it.

No tracking scripts in this edition

The supplied pages do not include advertising pixels, analytics, social embeds or external font requests. Images, fonts and scripts load from the same website. Your hosting provider may retain ordinary access logs such as IP addresses, request times and browser details.

Letters sent from the jetty

The contact form prepares a draft in your email application. You decide whether to send it. If sent, the recipient receives the address and content you supply; your email provider’s own privacy arrangements also apply.

Questions and changes

For a privacy question, write to [email protected]. Do not include passwords, payment details or sensitive documents. This notice describes the edition dated 9 October 2026 and should be revised if the site adds new services.
